The obstacle course has a variety of low ropes activities that will test your skills and teamwork. You'll need to help your patrol through each obstacle and encourage each other to keep going. Every part of the course is designed to push you and your team to do your best.

This year’s Jamboree Your Challenge area had some advantages: some of the main structures from the AJ2013 event were still standing, including the famous Helix. This gave David and his team a great starting point to design the perfect Your Challenge course for 2025.

But not every Scout is a fan of getting muddy. So, to make sure everyone could join in, the team also created a dry run course for those who preferred to stay clean. This course can be used for Special Interest Areas (SIAs), for low ropes activities, which are perfect for Venturer Support Leaders and Rovers. But for Thomas from troop C047 his advice is “Sacrifice your clothes for the mud”.

For David May (Bilby), this is his very first Jamboree, and he's taken on a huge responsibility as the head of the team. He’s incredibly grateful for the help of his team, especially Seizar and Elyabeth, who brought their expertise to make sure everything meets safety standards. The team worked hard to create a course that’s safe and fun for Scouts from Australia and around the world.

When the rain started falling at the Your Challenge activity, David and his team couldn't have been more excited. Why? Because the rain was perfectly timed to turn the sticky mud into a much better, more exciting challenge for the Scouts! It's not something they could have planned back in May 2024, but it made the obstacle course even more fun and memorable.

David shared that his favourite part of the Jamboree so far has been seeing the Scouts grow. He loves watching them work together in the Patrol System, where they support each other and push their limits.

Luke – Venture Support Leader – remembered one group of Scouts that passed through, he was telling them that there is a massive hole and to watch out. The Scout just kept going and ignored him, but low and behold, he walked straight into it and the look on his face, when he was waste deep in mud was priceless.

So, if you’re ready for Your Challenge, get ready to jump into the mud and water!

And remember, while you’re out in the elements, don’t forget to Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek, and Slide! Protect yourself from the sun and stay safe as you take on your challenge.
