There is so much to do at AJ2025 - you can test your limits abseiling, visit the animals of Australia Zoo and enjoy all the arena entertainment. We want everyone at Jamboree to have an amazing time. To show you how to look after yourself to make sure you stay healthy and keep having fun with your friends, we asked Mason and Paige for some help.

Make sure to wash your hands with soap after going to the toilet, before preparing or handling food and when entering somewhere new - like activities, The Mall, Subcamps and Unit sites.

Always cover your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing with a tissue or your elbow.

Protect yourself from the hot Queensland sun and don’t forget to Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide your way into your adventure. Slip on clothes that protect you from the sun, Slop on sunscreen regularly throughout the day, Slap on your Jamboree hat, Seek some shade and Slide on some sunnies.

Stay hydrated and drink water regularly throughout the day. Fill up your drink bottle before you leave for any of your activities so you are always prepared - and in between, if you need.

A good way to gauge how well you are staying hydrated is to keep an eye on the colour of your pee! You can check out this colour chart, or look at your AJ2025 event shirt. If your pee looks like the lightest shade of yellow on your shirt, you are probably doing a good job, if it’s looking like the darker shades of yellow, you should drink more water. If it’s the blue colour, lay off the slushies and chat to your first aid team.

We have plenty of welfare and medical support if you’re not feeling well - but before you rush straight to the Jamboree Medical Centre, if you need medical assistance go to your nearest first aid station, either at your activity, your Subcamp (7-9am and 5-10pm) or at The Mall (8am-11pm).

The Jamboree Medical Centre is available for more serious injuries or illnesses and is available 24/7 during Jamboree. Here you’ll find a whole team of professional doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists and physiotherapists - who are also all Scouters!

To make sure their talents are helping those who need it most, please start by visiting your local first aid station and they can check if you need to go to the Medical Centre for more help. If you need help outside of the first aid station hours, you can go to the Medical Centre and go through their triage entrance.

For any medical emergencies while on the Jamboree site, call 07 4333 1500, instead of 000. This number will have a quicker response time from medical professionals on the Jamboree site.

Keep these tips in mind and next time you take a pee-tour to the bathroom - don't forget to check how hydrated you are.

The 26th Australian Jamboree will be held on the land of the Butchulla (Badtjala) and the Kabi Kabi (Gubbi Gubbi) people. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as Australia’s first people, and pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
